Wojtuś with a bedwetting problem

The mother of nine-year-old Wojtek desperately wanted to help him with his bedwetting. Attempts to address this problem took a long time. The boy was diagnosed with a small bladder capacity as a toddler and implemented very specific recommendations that helped him function, but not enough to allow him to sleep through the night. He wet the bed several times a week. Talking about Wojtek, his mother spoke of his problems at school, his withdrawal, his lack of motivation, and his lack of self-confidence. He quickly gave up on tasks, became discouraged, and spoke harshly and critically of himself.
We began meeting for treatments. During the first sessions, Wojtek responded very strongly to the Bowen technique, falling sound asleep after the first few movements and being difficult to wake up. After about two or three sessions, it became clear that the frequency of bedwetting was much lower. Wojtek's mother, sitting with me in the office while he lay on a couch in the other room, whispered her surprise. She was amazed at Wojtek's rapid emotional and mental transformation. He began to talk more willingly about himself and put himself and his ideas at the center of attention. After a few more treatments, we achieved entire "dry" weeks. Wojtek became increasingly active and confident, taking on tasks more readily. His increased engagement was also noted at school, which was confirmed by the results, which in turn strengthened his self-confidence. As we neared the end of therapy, the class trip was approaching. Wojtek hadn't gone on the previous ones because of bedwetting. There was an offer for him to share a single room, but he confidently decided to move in with a friend. Everything turned out very well, and you could really see Wojtek's smile as he talked about the trip, and his mother's delight at the many positive changes that had occurred in those three months.
